The article mainly focuses on one game in particular - Settlers of Catan - but still it's nice to see this style of game getting more press.

I used to play that game all the time back in '05-06! I was never very good at it, tough.

Am I the only one who thinks that the article almost makes playing board games seem less enjoyable, in it's deconstruction of exactly what makes them fun? :P
I mean the German style games.
