Thought for the day... or life

"Whatever, after due examination and analysis, you find to be kind, conducive to the good, the benefit, the welfare of all beings; believe and cling to that doctrine, and take it as your guide." -Buddha

I came across this quote while browsing a memory book given to me for my 40th birthday a few years ago. It's definitely a good summation of how to try to live.

Glad you came across this, Brian. As I pointed out to the senior students a couple of months ago, what we were doing was fun and insured a small but steady student body, but it failed to provide the vast majority with useful skills (unfortunately this has proven correct since you left). So, after due examination and analysis, I made changes to benefit the welfare of all students who come to the Dojo. I've gotten great feedback and many thanks for the changes! Hope you are doing well!

Brian, I can tell that you've been living by that precept for a while.

See you soon!
