Upcoming Lunar Eclipse

There is going to be a full lunar eclipse on Saturday, March 3rd, at about 5:30PM. For those of us on the east coast, that means the eclipse will occur during the moonrise. As a result, the moon is supposed to be a deep red color. Hopefully there won't be any clouds.

We will be up in Maine that weekend...Provided the sky is clear there should be a good viewing since ther is no light pollution up there. The stars at night are awesome, especially the common shooting stars. There's nothing like a summer night spent gazing up at the stars in the Maine "outback"....

PS. For those of you with a religious background, there is also something very significant (a prophecy) about a "blood red moon"! :)
